The 2094-PRS6 power rail is a slim power rail that is designed to be lighter and more compact than the standard Allen-Bradley Kinetix power rails. It has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley within the Kinetix 6000 series. The 2094-PRS6 slim power rail can support 6 axes. With its 6 axes, it can support 1 integrated axis module, as many as 5 regular axis modules, a shunt module, and 1 to 5 slot filler modules. The 2094-PRS6 slim power rail can be installed in Kinetix drive systems in either the 230 Volts voltage class or the 460 Volts voltage class.

The Allen-Bradley 2094-PRS6 is a slim power rail which has 6 inverter slots or axes onto which drive modules are mounted. These 6 axes come with a converter axis. This 6-axis power rail is 3-dimensional, and measures 49.02cm (19.3 in) by 40.89cm (16.1 in) by 19.56cm (7.7 in). The 2094-PRS6 weighs 3.55kg (7.8lbs).

Four of the inverter slots are occupied if double-wide IAM modules such as the 2094-BC04-M03-S and the 2094-BC07-M05-S are used because they occupy two inverter holes of the power rail. Axis modules like the 2094-BM03-S and the 2094-BM05-S also fill double inverter slots. The converter slot is on the leftmost side of the power trail and it is reserved for IAM use only. The remaining slots are all inverter slots.

The 2094-PRS6 serves only the 230V or 460V drive systems which require 6 axes (inverter holes). Thus, the user needs to determine the minimum number of axes necessary to mount a rail-mounted module when choosing a power rail. You should not turn on the system before mounting and wiring it because connector terminals retain some voltage even after the system is switched off.

If the user fails to determine the slot requirement and ends up with a number of slots surpassing the minimum required for the drive system, it will be necessary to install a slot-filler module (Bulletin 2094-PRF) in every unutilized axis.

The 6 inverter axes neighboring the single converter axis receive signals of power and control from the converter axis. The Kinetix 6000 power rail is compatible with the shunt, slot-filler, Bulletin 2094 IAMs, and AMs. The double-wide IAMs and AMs decrease the module capacity of a slim power trail.

The 2094-BC04-M03-x, the 2094-AC32-M05-x, and the 2094-BC07-M05-x are double-wide IAMs, which, when being mounted or installed, would occupy a single converter hole and double inverter holes. The single-wide IAMs all require a single converter hole and a single inverter hole. The double-wide AM modules 2094-BM05-x and 2094-BM03-x cannot and would not occupy the single converter hole but would rather occupy the double inverter slots. The single-wide AMs all require a single inverter hole.
