The 2098-IPD-HV150 intelligent positioning drive is an Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation Ultra 5000 series intelligent positioning drive. It supports passive shunt installation. The Allen-Bradley 2098-IPD-HV150 Ultra5000 is an intelligent positioning drive that can function at a temperature as low as 32 oF and at one as high as 131 oF, its storage temperature range runs from -40-185 oF, and it can tolerate ambient humidity between about 5 and 95% without condensation. It can be mounted at up to 5000 feet and still operate normally, but its functions will derate by about 3% for every 984 feet of additional altitude. When in use, the 2098-IPD-HV150 can take 2 g of vibration at 10-2000 Hz, and when not in use, it can take a shock of 15 g.

The 2098-IPD-HV150 is UL-certified for use in the US and Canada. It must have a properly-sized enclosure to provide adequate ventilation for its heat loss, which amounts to about half of its power loss (350 Watts + dissipative shunt). The 2098-IPD-HV150 drive can be used with Allen-Bradley’s 900-Watt 2090 Passive Shunt Module.
