V500 & V510 Verabar Pitot Tubes

This model is used when flanged components are required. Available in flanged rating up to 2500# ANSI. The V510 model includes opposite side support. Also the extended model is designed for larger pipe sizes and higher velocities.

Advantages / Disadvantages

Advantages:

• Simple devices with no moving parts
• Performance is well understood
• Less expensive compared to other flow technologies
• Installation can be in any orientation
• Can be used for most gases and liquids
• Maintenance is much like pressure transmitters

Disadvantages:

• Significant pressure loss may occur
• Turndown less than other flow technologies
• Pipe layout may affect accuracy
• The output signal is non-linear
